Polar fleece is engineered using polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers. Its unique structure mimics polar bear fur, trapping microscopic pockets of air between the brushed fibers. The thermal resistance of polar fleece (typically measured in CLO values) ranges from 0.15 to 0.40 per 100 gsm. By utilizing highly crimped synthetic filaments, our factories produce polar fleece hoodies that achieve an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, reducing the load for outdoor athletes and utility workers alike.
One of the main challenges in polar fleece manufacturing is fiber mechanical degradation (pilling) and microfiber shedding in washing cycles. Through mechanical double-side brushing and precise thermal shearing, we stabilize the pile layer. Our advanced finishing lines process fabrics under tension-controlled environments to seal fiber tips, reducing post-wash pilling levels to Grade 4-5 on the Martindale scale, and significantly lowering environmental microfiber release.
The global apparel industry is transitioning to circular economies. Ningbo Jinmao leads this transition by incorporating GRS-certified recycled polyester sourced from post-consumer PET bottles. Our sustainable polar fleece options reduce carbon footprint by up to 32% compared to virgin polyester, while maintaining identical mechanical performance, dye-takeup, and hand-feel properties required by premium outdoor brands.
Our structured production workflow minimizes supply chain risks and ensures repeatable high quality.
Provide sketches or photos; our team crafts 3D tech packs and recommends matching fabrics within 72 hours.
We build physical prototypes matching measurements, fabric specs, and styling for size and drape approval.
We confirm critical bulk components: lab dips, zippers, prints, embroidery, packaging, and label details.
A full specimen utilizing actual bulk materials is verified and signed off before bulk tooling commences.
Mass manufacturing starts with regional, full-time QC supervision, backed by third-party testing (SGS/BV).

Integrating strategic factory groupings across multiple provinces to resolve MOQ limitations and scaling barriers.
Our company has more than 30 partner factories that possess various system certifications such as BSCI, WARP, Sedex, and Disney. Among them, there are large factories with over a thousand workers and a dozen production lines, as well as small workshops with just a few dozen employees. This allows us to arrange orders of various types and quantities.
Additionally, we have long-term cooperation with fabric suppliers who can provide materials certified with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), Recycled Polyester (GRS), Organic Cotton, Australian Cotton, and Lenzing Modal, to match our clients' products according to their needs.
By integrating our factory and material resources, we strive to help our clients avoid issues such as high minimum order quantities. Even if they don't meet the minimum order quantity, we will provide them with multiple similar available fabrics to choose from, enabling smaller brands to scale efficiently without excessive capital lock-up.
Ningbo Jinmao has established production bases across Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, and Zhejiang. By dividing production lines between large industrial complexes and flexible regional workspaces, we handle complex multi-item distributions without delay.

Includes complete acid washing, garment dyeing, silicone softening treatments, heat press rhinestones, and dynamic embossing for modern streetwear lines.
Minimizing bulk errors by verifying physical fit models and detailing trim configurations before mass cutting.
Once the order details are confirmed, we proceed to create a fit sample, which is a prototype garment made according to the customer's specifications. This sample is designed to match the exact measurements, fabric type, and style requested. We provide this sample to the customer for approval, ensuring that the size, pattern, and fit meet their expectations. This stage is crucial in achieving customer satisfaction, as it gives the customer an opportunity to see and feel the product before moving to bulk production.
To confirm the detail of bulk production such as lab dip fabrics, printed, embroidery, packaging and other related details, we establish precise physical color targets under standard lighting conditions (D65). Every zipper pull, drawcord, and eyelet is documented to match branding targets.
Before we begin full-scale production, we create a pre-production sample. This is a prototype made using the final approved fabrics, designs, and specifications. The pre-production sample is essential as it acts as the blueprint for the entire production run. Only after receiving customer approval on this pre-production sample do we proceed with mass production.
How our polar fleece garments perform across diverse global markets and professional environments.
In high-altitude climates across Western Europe and North America, polar fleece hoodies act as the primary thermal mid-layer. The micro-pocket structure permits active respiration during strenuous ascents, while shedding moisture under heavy shells. Our high-loft sherpa variations provide optimal thermal protection for alpine guides and mountaineers.
For transit operators, warehouse workers, and construction crews operating in cold climates, durability and safety are critical. We produce fleece hoodies with certified flame-retardant (FR) fibers and high-visibility fluorescent dyeing (compliant with EN ISO 20471 requirements), offering thermal safety to heavy industry personnel.
The urban streetwear demographic demands modern structures, oversized fits, and tactile diversity. We utilize heavy scuba knits, fleece paneling combinations, and precise flock or 3D embossed branding to deliver products that align with contemporary fashion drops and high-velocity retail calendars.
Comprehensive and cooperative partnerships featuring equality, mutual benefit, and common development.

Strategic development vectors driving next-generation fleece insulation technologies.
